The Baker Family

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

Children grow up and change so fast, it important to capture all of their sweet features and smiles. We walked around the beautiful botanical gardens and explored all over! The Bakers were such a joy to work with and made our job so easy! Taking the time to let the children explore the environment while we capture them always helps to put everyone at ease while also getting some amazing photos! These pictures were such a joy to take!

We love to look for unlikely photo spots to get unique shots. A simple dirt trail through a grassy field and a little bit of sunshine makes for a pretty magical look! We love the way the tall weeds frame them in the trail and reflect the golden rays of the sun. We love looking for these moments and we also love when our clients find a moment themselves!

Simple, tender gestures remind us how beautiful everyday life can be. And when we get to capture these gestures, they make for some great photos.

We love to capture children individually with each parent (as well as together) because it can capture even more of their personalities! We love to see the way they interact with each parent and what poses will come of it.

Sometimes we have to make mom and dad love on each other just to see the reaction of the kids. We love this little guy's look that says "what's going on up there?!"

This one is for the boys!

Honestly, he stole the show. Little model in the making on his own wooden, forest-lined runway.

Lens flares are fun! Every once in while, we get a super cool light streak from the sun. It can add a little extra to the photo and a lot of the time, we don't edit it out because it looks cool!

Sometimes you have to take a break from photos and climb a tree.... no really. Boy dad problems. But we are happy to accommodate and even capture these impromptu moments!

That face you make when you see your momma smile!

When you get both kids to look at the same time = win!

Too cute not to include this curious little guy. His cocked eyebrow and inquisitive look is giving some vibes!

The botanical gardens in Ann Arbor are stunning even outside the greenhouse. There are gorgeous trails, water, forests, and so much more to explore. We love shoots here because there is a little bit of everything!
